"Doqtr Shine is an independent electronic musician specialized in synthwave/retrowave music productions, in this occasion his track 'I'm Not Retro, You're Retro' takes the spotlight as an 80's fueled cinematic sonic tribute, as the artist shares, "the track was produced for a film production reel", it indeed was inspired by a retro synth ambient in an endless road trip drive like done for a soundtrack. The music production is unpretentious and not over produced and it knows where to push the melodies and patches to transmit a sense of exciting trip to memory lane while in the roadway. Overall it's a fine synthwave production, with interesting percussive layering, a nice retro atmosphere and clean production. This is specially recommended for instrumental synthwave/retrowave lovers that enjoy varied percussions, immersive electronic melodies and nuances that make homage to some old school electronica 80's productions."

my brother, joey luthman, needed a track for his film reel that he and his friend were working on. joey is an actor, cinematographer, and film producer. I have a great passion for film so i always love teaming up with him or anyone doing a good video project. they needed a driving beat and showed me some retro wave stuff, which i love but haven't had a chance to produce. so i endeavored to give them a futuristic retro house track. i focused on a driving 4/4 pounding synth bass as the track's center. I was careful to give it some slight grit while leaving it purposefully crisp and mechanical, to give it that sci fi feel. It was a lot of fun and a great reason to get into some 80s feels.
